Muscle Shoals Seniors are "Doing More in 2004"

Expanding on the "Aging Well, Living Well" theme, the Northwest Alabama Council of Local Governments (NACOLG) encouraged seniors to keep "Doing More in 2004" at their 31 st Annual Senior Citizens' Appreciation Day and Health Fair on May 14.

The extravaganza featured free health screenings, exhibitors, live music by local entertainers and a "veggie look-alike' costume contest. Door prizes for those over 60 included health spa gift certificates and YMCA memberships, all intended to remind eternally youthful Alabamans of the motto, "you don't stop exercising because you grow old; you grow old because you stop exercising."
