For Charleston, S.C. Seniors "Just Living Is Not Enough"

Seniors in Charleston, S.C. kicked off Older Americans Month with a Silver Bowl kickball and dodgeball tournament on April 24 at Charlestowne Landing. The event drew more than 200 people of all ages, including about 20 Senior Aides, who came out to enjoy free food, drinks, entertainment and exhibits while taking advantage of a chance to kick back and act like a kid again. The seniors formed two kickball teams, calling themselves "Silver Slippers," proving that they believed in the theme of the day-long event, "Just Living is Not Enough." Proceeds from the event, sponsored by Lutheran Social Services and Charleston Area Senior Citizens Center, benefited local older adults.
